Ambassadors’ Report
As a GHI Ambassador for Poland, my goal is to actively support the harmonization of food safety and
nutrition regulations by fostering effective communication among science, society, and regulatory
authorities. Ensuring globally aligned, science-based food safety standards is crucial for Poland, given its
dynamic agri-food sector, expanding international trade, and growing consumer interest in novel foods and
sustainable protein sources.
Harmonized food safety regulations contribute to:
improved consumer protection and public health,
transparent food supply chains,
strengthened international collaboration,
easier exchange of scientific data and best practices,
better conditions for innovation, including novel foods such as edible insects.
I aim to support the Global Harmonization Initiative by promoting reliable scientific evidence, raising
awareness about food safety challenges, and facilitating high-quality communication among researchers,
regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Translation & Accessibility
• Translate selected GHI materials into Polish to expand access among scientists, students, educators
and food safety authorities.
• Adapt key GHI resources for academic use in teaching food technology and food safety.
Communication & Publications
• Write articles for Polish food science and food technology magazines to raise awareness of GHI
recommendations.
• Share GHI press releases with food safety authorities, public health agencies and university
networks.
Networking & Collaboration
• Encourage Polish researchers, young scientists and industry professionals to join GHI and
participate in working groups.
• Establish connections with national institutions involved in food safety, nutrition, and public health.
Events & Presentations
• Give presentations on global food safety trends, novel foods, sustainability and harmonisation
needs at conferences, seminars and university meetings.
• Organize local expert meetings and discussion panels to disseminate GHI’s mission and highlight the
importance of evidence-based regulation.
